Prints of works of art titled Liberation is Medicine by artist Inez Inok't from the exhibition "Sowing Seeds of Care and Refusal," a group show curated by Cindy Bonaparte. Featuring ten California-based BIPOC visual artists, the exhibition invites viewers to gain knowledge on themselves while receiving artists' visions of a world where our purpose and gifts are cared for more, exploring what we might have to refuse or let go of to give more care to the world around us. This interactive show emphasizes the interconnectedness of our collective well-being and is grounded in the Dagara Medicine Wheel. Hosted at Sovern from 6/1/2024 - 9/28/2024.
Liberation is Medicine, shows two elders carrying their plant medicine, a Mapuche elder holds cinnamon branches, a Palestinian elder holds olive branches. This piece is interactive art activism, meant to be carried in solidarity marches for Palestine. Both indigenous diasporas live under illegal occupation, both indigenous nations will be free.
